Project management and coordination

An important key for project success will be ensuring effective collaboration and easy communication between partners and towards external entities.

Definition of the AI strategy in educational processes

This WP will focus on the definition of the KPIs AI4Ed will use for its recommendations, these KPIs will promote multilingualism and cultural diversity in a globalised market and will prevent the exclusion of pupils in disadvantaged situations. These KPIs will also take into account active learning, where the learner has a leading role, by transfer and by reinforcement, among others.
We will ensure that AI4Ed activities comply with good practices, as well as legal aspects of ethical issues.

Identification of data structure for the implementation of AI

This WP will analyse the internal flows of information and technologies involved in the already developed tools. Through a system of block flows, the barriers, and the most effective ways to achieve the objectives can be discovered.
Mechanisms will be put in place in order to guarantee data protection.

AI4Ed Capacity Building for teachers and students

This WP will define the programme that will support the capacity building of the European AI4Ed and their human capital on digital transformation skills. We will identify the areas of knowledge to be addressed, create a proper syllabus and a pan-European programme for re- and up-skilling of AI4Ed orchestrators.

Toolkit development and Use Case Implementation

This WP will design and implement a toolkit for promoting and demonstrating the project’s solutions for reliable AI in education, based on the results mainly from WP2, WP3, and WP4 and including recommendations for the use cases developed in WP6. The toolkit will be use as a framework to identify which education
processes can be integrated in AI4Ed and how, algorithms (predictive, prescriptive), architectural blueprints (KPIs defined in WP2 and WP3), active learning methodology and more.

Validation and Evaluation

This WP will organize and conduct stakeholders’ workshops towards engaging stakeholders in the development, deployment, and evaluation of the 5 use cases. User studies and workshops will be organized at all use case sites of the consortium and across all phases of the pilots’ lifecycle (i.e. use case system design, deployment, operation and evaluation).

Impact, Dissemination, Communication and EDEHub

Disseminatin and communication activities will be planned in order to boost the exploitation and sustainability goals of the project, in addition to raising awareness about AI4Ed outcomes to all relevant stakeholders (i.e. teacher, students, parents, VET and higher education institutions, policy makers, etc.)
AI4Ed will also contribute to the EDEHub which will promote cross-sectoral collaboration, identify, and share good practice and support Member States and the education and training sector with tools, frameworks, guidance, technical expertise and research in the domain of AI in education.
